Published February 24, 2005

An information night on Natural Family Planning will be held at St. Monica Church, 1700 Buford Highway, on Wednesday, March 16, at 7 p.m.

Speakers will include Dr. Kathleen Raviele, gynecologist, a member of the Catholic Medical Guild and certified instructor in all methods of Natural Family Planning. In addition, Father Joseph Peek, priest of the archdiocese, will present an overview of the teachings of the Catholic Church on family planning and healthy sexuality.

Questions to be addressed include: why is NFP the only form of family planning accepted by the Catholic Church; is Natural Family Planning reliable and effective; how does NFP work; can couples experiencing infertility benefit from knowing and using Natural Family Planning; and what does chastity have to do with a healthy marriage.

The program is sponsored by St. Monica’s Respect Life Ministry. Contact Kathleen McCusker at (770) 962-0621 or Julie McLaughlin at (770) 277-5384.
