Installation, Masses Planned For Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory

The Mass of Canonical Installation of Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory, the sixth archbishop of Atlanta and seventh bishop of Atlanta, will be held on Monday, Jan. 17, at 1:30 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center. The convention center is located at 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park.

All people of the archdiocese are invited to attend this liturgy and celebration.

Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo, apostolic nuncio to the United States, will formally install Archbishop Gregory in the presence of Archbishop-emeritus John F. Donoghue, the priests of the archdiocese, as well as numerous bishops and clergy from across the country.

On Saturday, Jan. 22, Archbishop Gregory will celebrate Mass for women Religious who minister in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. The Mass will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of St. Brigid Church, 3400 Old Alabama Rd., Alpharetta. A reception will follow.

Archbishop Gregory will celebrate Mass with the deacons of the archdiocese and their families on Thursday, Jan. 27, at St. Brigid Church. A reception will follow.
