Over 60 Parishes Offer Eucharistic Adoration Now

A growing number of parishes and missions of the archdiocese have regularly scheduled times of eucharistic adoration. Ten have perpetual adoration chapels. Over 30 have weekly adoration times, and another 20 have a monthly time of adoration, usually on first Friday. The schedules as of May 31, 2004 are published here.

WEEKLY ADORATION

All Saints Church, 2443 Mount Vernon Road, Dunwoody, has adoration every Wednesday following 9 a.m. Mass until 7 p.m. On first Friday adoration begins following the 9 a.m. Mass and ends with Benediction after the 5 p.m. Mass.

Christ Our Hope Church, 1786 Wellborn Road, Lithonia, has adoration every Friday from 7-8 p.m.

Holy Cross Church, 3175 Hathaway Court, Atlanta, holds adoration Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Holy Family Church, 3401 Lower Roswell Road, NE, Marietta, has a holy hour every Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. On first Friday adoration begins with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 9:30 a.m. and closes with Benediction at 5 p.m.

Holy Trinity Church, 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, has exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Friday after the noon Mass until the 9 a.m. Saturday Mass.

Mary Our Queen Church, 6260 The Corners Parkway, Norcross, has adoration every Friday beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 1350 Hearst Drive, NE, Atlanta, has adoration every Wednesday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. in the parish office chapel.

Sacred Heart Church, 110 North Jefferson St., Milledgeville, has adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction every Friday from 7:30-8:30 p.m. following 7 p.m. Mass.

St. Anthony Church, E. Main St., Blue Ridge, a holy hour is held every Monday and Tuesday following the 9 a.m. Mass until 10:30 a.m. On first Friday a holy hour is held either at St. Anthony Church, Blue Ridge, or Good Samaritan Mission, Ellijay, at 7 p.m.

St. Benedict Church, 11045 Parsons Road, Duluth, has a 60-hour period of adoration beginning at 7 p.m. every Wednesday and ending at 8:45 a.m. every Saturday. There is also a holy hour from 6:30-7:30 p.m. every Monday.

St. Brendan the Navigator Church, 4633 Shiloh Road, Cumming, has adoration every Wednesday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2839 Young Harris Highway, Blairsville, has a holy hour every Monday from 7-8 p.m. On first Friday adoration begins following 9 a.m. Mass and ends with Benediction at 4:45 p.m. followed by Mass at 5 p.m.

St. Francis de Sales Church, 587 Landers Drive, Mableton, has a holy hour every Friday following the 7 p.m. Mass.

St. George Church, 771 Roscoe Road, Newnan, has a devotional time including adoration every Monday from 7-8 p.m.

St. James Church, 562 Vine St., Madison, has a holy hour every Saturday from 4-5 p.m. On first Friday adoration begins following the noon Mass and ends with Benediction at 7 p.m.

St. John Neumann Church, 801 Tom Smith Road, Lilburn, has a holy hour every Thursday from 8-9 p.m.

St. Joseph Church, 134 Prince Ave., Athens, has a holy hour every Tuesday from 7-8 p.m.

St. Joseph Church, 1775 Haig Mill Road, Dalton, has adoration every Wednesday from 9 a.m.-12 noon and every Friday from 9:30 a.m.-12 noon. Prayers are bilingual. On first Friday adoration is held following the 9 a.m. Mass and ends with Benediction at 7 p.m., followed by the Spanish Mass.

St. Joseph Church, 87 Lacy St., Marietta, has adoration following the 7:30 p.m. Mass on first Friday throughout the night until the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday. Adoration is also held every Wednesday and Thursday and on all other Fridays of the month from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

St. Joseph Church, U.S. Highway 78, Washington, has a holy hour every Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on first Saturday at 8 a.m.

St. Jude the Apostle Church, 7171 Glenridge Drive, NE, Atlanta, holds adoration every Thursday during the school year only following the 7:30 a.m. Mass and ending with Benediction before the 6 p.m. Mass. The first Friday of the month nocturnal adoration is held starting in Spanish at 9 p.m. and continuing in English from 10 p.m.-7 a.m. on Saturday.

St. Lawrence Church, 319 Grayson Highway, Lawrenceville, has adoration every Friday from 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

St. Mark Church, Highway 197 South, Clarkesville, offers adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 8 p.m. on Sunday to 8 p.m. on Friday in an adoration chapel.

St. Matthew Church, 25 Wilkins Road, SW, Winder, has a holy hour every Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. Adoration is also held on the fourth Friday of the month from 12 noon-6 p.m.

St. Michael Church, 1440 Pearce Circle, Gainesville, has adoration Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. On first Friday adoration is held from 7:30 p.m.-6 a.m. on Saturday. On the third Friday of the month adoration is held from 9 p.m.-12 midnight.

St. Michael the Archangel Church, 490 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock, has a holy hour on Mondays and Wednesdays from noon-1 p.m. and on Fridays from 7-8 p.m.

St. Patrick Church, 2140 Beaver Ruin Road, Norcross, has adoration on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

St. Peter Church, 200 LaFayette Parkway, LaGrange, has adoration every Friday beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding on Saturday at 8 a.m.

St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 535 Rucker Road, Alpharetta, has adoration every Friday beginning after the 12:30 p.m. Mass and concluding at 6:30 p.m.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4300 King Springs Road, SE, Smyrna, has adoration every Wednesday following 6:30 a.m. Mass and ending with Benediction at 6:45 p.m.

St. Vincent de Paul Church, 680 West Memorial Drive, Dallas, has adoration every Tuesday at 11 a.m.

ON FIRST FRIDAY

Church of St. Ann, 4905 Roswell Road, NE, Marietta. All night adoration begins after the 7:30 p.m. Mass on first Friday with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and concludes with Benediction prior to the 8 a.m. Mass on Saturday.

Holy Spirit Church, 4465 Northside Drive, NW, Atlanta. Adoration is held on first Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in St. Mary’s Chapel.

Monastery of the Visitation, Ridgedale Drive, Snellville. Adoration is held every first Friday beginning after 8 a.m. Mass and ending at 7 p.m. before 7:30 p.m. Mass. Adoration is also held every Sunday from 4:30-6 p.m.

Prince of Peace Church, 4300 South Lee St., Buford. Adoration begins at 9:30 a.m. after the 9 a.m. Mass on first Friday and ends with Benediction at 5 p.m. Beginning in July adoration will also be held every third Friday from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. to pray for vocations.

Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1009 Benson St., Hartwell. Adoration is held on first Friday following 9 a.m. Mass and ending at 7 p.m. with Benediction. The Knights of Columbus attend a holy hour from 6-7 p.m.

St. Anna Church, 836 E. Spring St., Monroe. Adoration begins at 11:15 a.m. on first Friday. Mass is celebrated at 12:15 p.m. followed by a potluck lunch in the parish hall.

St. Augustine of Hippo Church, 11524 Highway 278 East, Covington. Adoration begins following the noon Mass on first Friday and Benediction is celebrated at 1 p.m.

St. Bernadette Church, 101 S. College St., Cedartown, has a holy hour of adoration on first Friday from 7-8 p.m.

St. Gabriel Church, 135 Antioch Road, Fayetteville. Adoration begins at 9 a.m. on first Friday following 8:30 a.m. Mass in the Beltran House Chapel and ends with 9 a.m. Mass on Saturday.

St. James the Apostle Church, 1000 Decatur Road, McDonough, holds adoration every first Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. when Mass is celebrated.

St. John Vianney Church, 1920 Skyview Drive, Lithia Springs, has adoration on first Friday following 8 a.m. Mass until 7 p.m., ending with Benediction.

St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 75 Park St. North, Dahlonega, has adoration on first Friday from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

St. Mary Church, 911 North Broad St., Rome, has adoration from 8 a.m. on first Friday until 8 a.m. on Saturday.

St. Mary Church, 6388 Rothell Road Extension, Toccoa. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is held on first Friday as part of Sacred Heart devotions beginning at 12:10 p.m. Mass is celebrated.

St. Monica Church, 1700 Buford Highway, Duluth, has adoration beginning after the 9 a.m. Mass on first Friday and ending at 8 p.m. with Benediction.

St. Oliver Plunkett Church, 3200 Brooks Drive, Snellville, has adoration on first Friday beginning with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 9 a.m. and closing with evening prayer and Benediction at 9 p.m.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 1397 Helen Highway, Cleveland, has adoration on first Friday from noon-3 p.m.

St. Pius X Church, 2621 Highway 20, SE, Conyers, has adoration on first Friday beginning at 7:30 p.m. and concluding at 8 a.m. on Saturday prior to Mass. The prayers are bilingual.

St. Philip Benizi Church, 591 Flint River Road, Jonesboro, has adoration beginning after the 8:30 a.m. Mass on first Friday and concluding at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday with Benediction. A holy hour is offered on the third Thursday of the month from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

St. Stephen the Martyr Church, 5373 Wydella Road, Lilburn, has adoration on first Friday from 7-8 p.m.

St. Theresa Church, 4401 Priestley Mill Road, Douglasville, has adoration on first Friday from 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

MONTHLY ADORATION

Our Lady of the Mount Church, 1227 Scenic Highway, Lookout Mountain, has adoration the third weekend of each month beginning after the 5:30 p.m. Saturday Mass and ending with the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.

Our Lady of the Mountains Church, Jasper, has adoration on the first Tuesday of the month after the 9:30 a.m. Mass until 3 p.m.

St. Catherine Laboure Church, 708 State St., Commerce, has adoration on the first Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

IN SPANISH

Misión Católica Nuestra Señora de las Americas, 5918 New Peachtree Road, Doraville. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Spanish begins at 5 p.m. on first Friday and ends with Benediction and Mass at 7 p.m. On the third Saturday of the month adoration is held from 10 p.m. until 8 a.m. Sunday morning.

Prince of Peace Church, 4300 S. Lee St., Buford. Adoration in Spanish is held every first Saturday from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Sunday.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4300 King Springs Road, SE, Smyrna. Adoration in Spanish is held on the second Saturday of the month from 9 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday.
