Marist priests to leave Atlanta parish after 60 years

Published December 3, 2024The Marists, formally known as the Society of Mary, will leave Our Lady of Assumption Church in the summer of 2025. The religious community’s priests have been the spiritual leaders of the Brookhaven parish since the mid-1960s.

Children with disabilities receive sacraments at CTK Mission

Parish builds warm community with Brookhaven police officers

Published September 21, 2017BROOKHAVEN—The Adopt-A-Cop ministry of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, launched in late February, is helping parishioners forge relationships with officers of the Brookhaven Police Department. The ministry has grown by leaps and bounds as 144 parish families have adopted 54 employees of the department, which has 65 sworn police officers.
