Atlanta Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory and Auxiliary Bishop Luis R. Zarama will be leading an archdiocesan pilgrimage to Rome from May 2-12, as part of the bishops’ “Ad Limina Apostolorum” visit, a periodic requirement for the diocesan bishops to travel to Rome to report to the Holy Father an account of the state of their diocese. The 11-day pilgrimage will depart from Atlanta and include tours through Assisi, Siena and Rome.

The tentative itinerary includes visits to the Cathedral in Siena, Duomo and Signorelli Chapel in Orvieto, Vatican museums, the Colosseum and the St. Callixtus Catacombs in Rome.

The regular price per person, after Feb. 27, is $3,614. The price includes nine nights’ accommodations, round-trip scheduled airfare from Atlanta to Rome on US Air, continental breakfast daily, four dinners, a wine tasting, local transportation to sightseeing locations, local guides, entrance fees to sightseeing destinations, arrangements of daily Mass and hotel taxes. Not included in the price are air taxes, government fees, fuel surcharges, airport transfers for pilgrims not on group flights, meals not specifically identified and other personal expenses. Prospective participants save $100 if they book before Feb. 27. There is also a $115 discount for payments made by cash or check.
