ROSWELL—Blessed Trinity High School has announced the appointment of Coach Tom Hall as the third head football coach in school history. Coach Hall is a graduate of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he was a quarterback and later served as a graduate assistant in the football program.
Coach Hall is familiar to the Titans football program, serving as the offensive coordinator for the first state championship appearance in 2015 and the first state championship title in 2017. Coach Hall previously spent 11 years as a teacher and coach at the Roswell school (2007-2018) and was a member of both his predecessors’ (Tim McFarlin and Ricky Turner) staffs. Most recently, he was the offensive coordinator at Somerset Canyons Academy High School in Boynton Beach, Florida.
During his time at BT, Tom was also the head boys golf coach and led the team to a state championship in 2015. He will reclaim his position as the head boys golf coach and will resume his teaching responsibilities in the physical education department.
Principal Cathy Lancaster said she was thrilled for Hall to be returning to the school.
“He has proven himself on the football field and has been a positive influence on the lives of so many student athletes over the years. I am confident that we have found the best coach to lead our program, further the mission of our school, and continue our tradition of excellence in athletics,” said Lancaster.
Athletic Director Ricky Turner said Hall is the “perfect fit” to head the program.
“He is a talented, knowledgeable football coach who has the tools to continue our tradition of success in the program. Tom is also an exceptional role model who will carry out the four pillars of our school mission statement to the fullest,” said Turner. “I am excited for these young men who will get to compete under his leadership.”
Hall began his new duties March 1, calling it an honor and privilege to rejoin the staff.
“Blessed Trinity is a special place for me and my family,” he said. “All three of my children attended BT where they received an outstanding Catholic education through truly amazing faculty and staff to whom I am forever grateful.”
He expressed gratitude to Coach Tim McFarlin under whom he served as offensive coordinator.
“Tim’s mentorship, support and loyal friendship is something I will always be appreciative of,” said Hall. “I look forward to guiding the program and continuing to compete at the highest level in the years to come. Go Titans!”
