Born: March 4, 1986, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Family: He is the son of Laurence Starr, of Tucker, and Jean Baylot, of Hattiesburg, Miss. His brother, Christopher, lives in Roswell.

Education: Graduated with a degree in music education from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., in 2007. Finished degree in philosophy at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md., in 2013. Received a master of divinity and master of arts in theology/sacred Scripture from Mount St. Mary’s in 2017.

Work experience: Worked as a waiter to pay off college debt.

Hobbies: Playing violin, smoking cigars, listening to music and praying.

First assignment: St. Patrick Church, Norcross.
