It was a rough outing for Pinecrest Academy Sept. 12 as Mount de Sales Academy of Macon defeated them 35-7. The loss dropped Pinecrest to 1-2 on the season.

Mount de Sales’ first two scores came within 17 seconds of each other, a safety followed by a touchdown pass from quarterback Rosser McCallie to running back Taylor Moorhouse.

Pinecrest missed its first chance to score when Mount de Sales fumbled on its own 46-yard line. Pinecrest drove the ball down to the 7-yard line, but came up empty. Mount de Sales took a 23-0 lead into halftime. Pinecrest got on the board with 2:42 remaining in the third quarter when quarterback Zach Wilson threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Joe Neiner.
