St. Vincent de Paul Georgia seeks volunteer help as aid requests surge 

Leaders at St. Vincent de Paul Georgia are mounting a new push to ease the burden on the ministry volunteers who respond to crisis phone calls, visit people in their homes and provide emergency assistance as requests for help escalate.

  The Archdiocese of Atlanta has launched an intercultural commission in the Office of Intercultural Ministries. The initiative will focus on diversity in a more intentional way, said Deacon Dennis Dorner, chancellor of the archdiocese.

  Nearly 300 of the faithful in the Atlanta Archdiocese took part in additional listening sessions of the Synod of Bishops on Synodality. The goal was to further consult Catholics before the synod’s final meeting in October.

• UGA student to be Perpetual Pilgrim in National Eucharistic Pilgrimage

  University of Georgia student Jaella Mac Au will join the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage as a Perpetual Pilgrim. She is among 24 young adults who will make a cross-country trek toward the 10th National Eucharistic Congress.
