Corpus Christi Church announces 50th anniversary celebration

STONE MOUNTAIN—Corpus Christi Church invites families and friends to celebrate its 50th anniversary the weekend of Sept. 10-12.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, with an unveiling of a special bulletin board and testimonial videos. A eucharistic celebration will be at 7 p.m. immediately followed by a Holy Hour. On Saturday, there will be a video presentation at 4 p.m. followed by the Vigil Mass, celebrated by Bishop Bernard E. Shlesinger III at 5 p.m. The remainder of the evening will be a celebration of founders and lifelong members of the Stone Mountain parish.

Sunday celebrations will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv. It will immediately be followed by a cultural extravaganza, celebrating the diversity of the parish. This will include dishes, music and entertainment representing various countries.
