ATLANTA—In a softball game Aug. 23, the Galloway School team scored 10 runs during the first inning. Our Lady of Mercy scored its first two runs in the second inning and seven more in the third, but in the end OLM was outpaced by Galloway, losing 24-9.

Mercy head coach Kevin Walker said he has an older team from the standpoint of a senior presence, but the team is still young when it comes to young ladies with years of softball playing experience. His goal is to get them to understand the fundamentals of the game and feed off the players who know the game.

They take on The Weber School at home Sept. 7 and they aim to get back in the win column after three consecutive losses.
