The evening, including dinner and cocktails, includes a presentation by Lev called “The Eucharist, Mercy in Art.”

It will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the archdiocesan Chancery, located at 2401 Lake Park Drive, SE, Smyrna.

Lev is a renowned art history teacher, guide and author, telling the story of faith using as a backdrop the treasures of Rome and the church. Her talk on the Sistine Chapel on a TED Talk in December has been viewed 1.2 million times. She is a faculty member at Duquesne University’s Italian campus and at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Lev has worked as a Vatican analyst for NBC News and hosted a 10-part series “Catholic Canvas” for EWTN. She has served as a consultant for the History Channel. More information about Lev can be found on her website, www.elizabeth-lev.com.

She was a featured speaker at the 2013 Eucharistic Congress in Atlanta, both in the Revive! and English tracks.

The Aug. 9 event will be the first fundraiser held in 21 years to support Atlanta’s Eucharistic Congress, which draws more than 20,000 people annually for a weekend focused on faith and hearing from renowned Catholic speakers.

Sponsors will be helping to lay the foundation for the 2017 Congress, scheduled for June 16-17 next year.

The suggested ticket price is $100 per person with seating for 250 people. Table sponsorships are also available. The deadline for purchase is Aug. 1, but seating may be filled before the deadline.
