74 who experienced Cursillo weekend meet

Published May 15, 2014

The Atlanta Cursillo Movement held their Men’s and Women’s Cursillo weekends in March at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers.

The Southside Ultreya, comprised of eight local parishes, held their monthly gathering on March 29 to “meet and greet” their nine new Cursillistas. (A Cursillista is someone who has completed a Cursillo weekend.)

A record turnout of 74 members attended. The evening began with a potluck supper.

Several of the new Cursillistas offered their views of the weekends, how it impacted their lives and what they felt it would mean for their future. Hearing their witnesses always inspires the faith of the veterans.

The Southside Ultreya meets the third Saturday of each month at St. Mary Magdalene Church, in Newnan. For information, please phone 770-304-0663 or email petedarcy@att.net.
