The 400th anniversary of the feast of Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre, Cuba (Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Cobreis) will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta. The procession for the celebration is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., and Mass begins at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

The devotion to the finding of the image of the Blessed Mother is important to the Cuban community.

This year’s Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory and concelebrated by other priests of the archdiocese.

The jubilee is being celebrated in Cuba and other cities in the U.S. and abroad.
