Priest Assignments

ATLANTA—Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory has announced the following changes in priest assignments.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of Legionaries of Christ Father Luis Garza, territorial director, and has assigned Father Juan Jose Hernandez, LC, as chaplain working with the young men in Regnum Christi, effective Jan. 18. He will reside at the Legionaries House in Atlanta.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of Jesuit Father John Won-Sik, provincial superior, and has assigned Father John Du Hyun Kim, SJ, as parochial vicar at Korean Martyrs Church, Doraville, effective January through September 2013.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of Conventual Franciscan Father James McCurry, provincial superior, and has assigned Father John Voytek, OFM Conv., as parochial vicar at St. John Vianney Church, Lithia Springs, effective Jan. 18.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of Father Matthew Didone, provincial superior for the Missionaries of St. Charles, Scalabrinians, and has assigned Father Jean Carl, CS, as parochial vicar at San Felipe de Jesus Mission, Forest Park, effective Feb. 22.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of the Eparch of Adigrat, Abune Tesfaselassie Medhin, and has assigned Father Kidanemariam Hadgu Gebrehiwot as parochial vicar for the Catholic Geez Rite community in Atlanta, effective Feb. 22. The community is based at Corpus Christi Church, Stone Mountain.

Father Robert A. Frederick has been assigned as interim chaplain at Our Lady of Mercy High School, Fayetteville, effective Feb. 24. He will reside at St. Matthew Church, Tyrone.

Father Gregory D. Goolsby has been assigned as parochial vicar at Holy Spirit Church, Atlanta, effective Feb. 26.
