A Letter from Archbishop Gregory
Published May 26, 2011
My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
I invite you to join me for our 16th annual Eucharistic Congress at the Georgia International Convention Center on June 24 and 25. “The Harvest Is Abundant” is this year’s theme honoring the many vocations we celebrate in the Church. Whether it is answering the call to marriage, priesthood, religious life, or single life, we invite everyone from across the Archdiocese of Atlanta to celebrate and reflect on the plan God has for each one of us.
On Friday, we will begin with Holy Mass at 6:30 p.m. followed by a healing service, presentations in Portuguese, Francophone, and REVIVE! for young adults.
Come early on Saturday for the morning procession of the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction, beautiful music, and inspiring presentations by locally and internationally known speakers. EXCITE! is the new name for the teen track which will take place in a tent outside of the Georgia International Convention Center. There will also be a Spanish track, English track, Vietnamese track, American Sign Language track, and ADORE!, the new name for the Kid track.Saturday will conclude with Holy Mass at 5 p.m.
I hope you will gather with your fellow Catholics for the 2011 Eucharistic Congress.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Wilton D. Gregory
Archbishop of Atlanta
