Kennesaw Church To Host Fish Suppers

Published March 3, 2011

St. Catherine of Siena Church will host a fish fry every Friday during Lent until Good Friday. Beginning March 11, the meal will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria and Herbert Hall.

Sponsored by the parish’s Knights of Columbus Council, the fish fry will offer fried or baked fish, fish sticks for the youngsters and several side dishes, including French fries, macaroni and cheese, pasta, cole slaw and vegetables.

Dinners are $6 for adults and $5 for kids and senior citizens. There are special rates for families. The parish will also be accepting credit cards this year.

In addition to the Friday fish fry, teens from the Kennesaw parish will be presenting the Living Stations of the Cross throughout Lent. Portraying the Passion and death of Jesus, the teens will perform each Friday in March following the fish fry at 8 p.m. starting March 11. There will also be performances on March 23 at 6:30 p.m. and April 17 at 8 p.m. The Living Stations are free and open to the public.

St. Catherine of Siena Church is located at 1618 Ben King Road, Kennesaw. For more information, call the church at (770) 428-7139.
