Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory has announced the following changes in priest assignments.

Father Balappa Selvaraj has been assigned to the Metropolitan Tribunal, effective Aug. 18. For canonical status, he has been appointed to serve as parochial vicar at Transfiguration Church, Marietta, where he will reside.

Father Victor Galier has been granted a leave from the Archdiocese of Atlanta to pursue a master’s degree in Catholic social teaching at Boston College through June 2011.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of Father Pawel Bandurski, provincial of the Society of Christ, and has assigned Father Piotr Nowacki, SChr, to the Polish community in the Atlanta Archdiocese and also as parochial vicar at St. Marguerite d’Youville Church, Lawrenceville, effective Aug. 19.

Archbishop Gregory has confirmed the recommendation of Father Joseph G. Bachand, provincial superior of the Missionaries of LaSalette, and has assigned Father Joseph Larmartine Eliscar, MS, as parochial vicar at St. Ann Church, Marietta, effective Aug. 25.
