In state playoffs, Blessed Trinity High School boys and girls tennis teams competed at Clayton County International Park, Jonesboro, where each defeated The Westminster School, Atlanta, to win their respective AA state championships. For the BT girls, it was their second consecutive state title. The BT boys were state runners-up in 2009. The girls, coached by Debi Miller, finished their perfect season with a record of 19-0, while the boys, coached by Scott Carter, completed their season at 17-3.

In track and field, Blessed Trinity junior Samantha Sanchez captured the AA state championship in the pole vault at the girls state track meet in Albany. This year was a rematch of the 2009 competition between Sanchez and Greater Atlanta Christian School pole-vaulter Claire Goodson. Last year Goodson won by setting a new state record of 10 feet, 7.5 inches while Sanchez finished as runner-up. This year the roles were reversed as Sanchez won the competition by breaking Goodson’s record and setting a new state meet record of 11 feet on her first attempt.

Blessed Trinity senior Katie Hawkins was AA state runner-up in the discus with a final throw of 114 feet, 9 inches, shattering the old school record by over 11 feet.
