Speakers Will Enliven ‘Catholic Thrive’ For All Young Adults, Singles

Catholic Thrive, an event for young adults and singles of all ages, will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 16-17, at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta. Speakers will include Mary Beth Bonacci, Father Tim Hepburn, Lino Rulli, Dave Sloan, Janice Givens and Marisa Pereira.

The Friday evening portion of Thrive is a free “Party With a Purpose,” benefitting Mission Here and There. Attendees will have the opportunity to serve by bringing food and clothing and preparing meals to be distributed to the homeless. A collection will be taken for Serving God’s Kids Missions to the orphans of Mexico.

Saturday’s events begin at 9:30 a.m., and talks and activities will continue throughout the day. Father Hepburn will begin the day with music and morning prayer, followed by his talk at 10 a.m. on “Imagine Your Life As God Wants It To Be.” At 10:45, Sloan will talk on “A Thriving Life: Find Your Mission, Share It, And Live It.”

Givens and Pereira will host the breakout sessions beginning at 11:45 a.m., with lunch, adoration and confessions at 12:30 p.m.

At 2 p.m. Rulli, “The Catholic Guy” from Sirius/XM Radio, will host the “Catholic Dating Game.” Bonacci will give the keynote at 3 p.m., talking on “Thrive Here, Thrive Now, Thrive Forever: Don’t Wait—God’s Plan For Your Life Starts Now.” A question-and-answer session and panel discussion will be at 3:45 p.m., followed by Mass at 5 p.m.

After a dinner break, a dance and concert by Louisiana’s L’Angelus will begin at 8 p.m.

Cost to register for Saturday is $60 per person.
