Annual Catholic Day Offers Opportunity For Action
Published February 18, 2010
The fourth annual Catholic Day at the Capitol will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Georgia Capitol in downtown Atlanta. Catholics in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Savannah are invited to attend and exercise their baptismal call as advocates for public policy that protects those who are vulnerable and promotes the common good.
A legislative briefing will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Atlanta. Participants will watch the opening of the session and meet their legislators.
The event is free, but registration is required so any last-minute changes can be communicated. Registration can be completed online at www.archatl.com/offices/communications/catholicday.php. Directions and parking information are also available at that link.
