Our Lady of the Assumption Church will join with fellow churches of the Brookhaven Christian Ministries to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord with a sunrise service on Easter Sunday, April 12.

This celebration begins at 7 a.m. on the lawn of the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church, located behind Oglethorpe University at 3016 Lanier Drive. This annual service will include song, Scripture, prayer and more.

Marist Father Jim Duffy, pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, will be the featured speaker at this interdenominational service.

A voluntary offering will benefit the Interfaith Outreach Home, a transitional home for two-parent homeless families with children. Since opening its doors in 1992, the home has provided housing and support for more than 400 homeless people.

The Brookhaven Christian Ministries is a group of churches from the Brookhaven community that meets monthly to address the needs of local residents. All churches in the Brookhaven area are invited to join.
