Published June 3, 2004

Young adults, single and married, from 19 to 40 years old, are invited to “REVIVE!” a young adult track that will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park on Friday evening, June 11 from 8-11 p.m.

Speakers will include Jason Evert and Bishop Sam G. Jacobs.

Jason Evert, 26, is a single young adult, a dynamic and challenging speaker for the Catholic faith, and a lay apologist. He holds a master’s degree in theology and counseling and works for Catholic Answers, a nonprofit Catholic apologetics and evangelization ministry in San Diego, Calif. His expertise ranges from apologetics to chastity. He was a speaker at the National Catholic Youth Conference in Houston, Texas, in 2003.

Bishop Sam G. Jacobs of Houma-Thibodaux, La., is an inspiring preacher with a passion for young people. He was a leader in the Catholic charismatic renewal in the United States for several decades. While he served as bishop of Alexandria, La., he developed new Catholic campus ministry and outreach to youth, and the diocese experienced an outpouring of religious vocations. He is a frequent speaker at Franciscan University of Steubenville summer conferences.

The emcee for “REVIVE!” will be Paul George, a married young adult with three children and Southeastern Regional Coordinator of LIFETEEN. Music for “REVIVE!” will be provided by Jon Ferguson and the REVIVE! Band.
