Youngsters Paint School Doors, Honoring Their Faith, Their School
Published October 25, 2012
Our Lady of the Assumption School, Atlanta, held its art show, known as Art in the Park(ing Lot), which is a family festival and student art show.
As part of the project, students, staff and volunteers worked together to decorate homeroom doors. Designs for each of the homeroom doors were created by a student from that homeroom.
A common theme for the doors shows a strong faith, love of God, pride in their country, and school spirit.
First, the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Assumption Church primed all the doors before the students started painting. And for the last weeks, students painted the doors helped by parent volunteers.
