Knights salute nonprofits serving in three counties

GREENSBORO—The annual Knights of Columbus Charity Brunch was held in April at the Reynolds Lake Club. This event recognizes the charitable works of a variety of organizations in Greene, Putnam and Hancock counties. The Knights of Columbus donates financial assistance annually to the organizations in support of their charitable works.

Each organization gave a brief update of their mission and how the donation will help their service efforts. The organizations recognized were: Athens Technical College Foundation; FERST Foundation, Putnam County; Greene County Habitat for Humanity; Circle of Love; FERST Foundation, Greene County; FERST Foundation, Hancock County; Hancock County Food Pantry (Helping Hands); Communities-in-Schools; Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club; Putnam County Special Olympics; Atlas Ministries; Putnam Jasper Support Services; Greene County Food Pantry; Putnam County LifeSource; Greene County Special Olympics; and First Call Pregnancy Center.

Grand Knight Ken Weber served as master of ceremonies. Visiting Knights of Columbus dignitaries included Georgia State Deputy Mark McMullen and District Deputy Wally Marcis.
