Speakers for the Hispanic track, in order of their talks, are:

Father Jose Duvan Gonzalez, administrator of San Felipe de Jesus Mission, Forest Park, and priest liaison to the Hispanic Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, who will give introductory remarks.

Bishop Jose H. Gomez, a priest of the Prelature of Opus Dei, ordained in 1978, who received a doctorate in moral theology. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, and a naturalized U.S. citizen, he is the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Denver, where he serves as vicar general, moderator of the curia, and as a pastor. He has previously served as executive director of the National Association of Hispanic Priests and on the steering committee for Encuentro 2000.

Bishop Felipe de Jesus Estevez, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Miami, Fla., was ordained in 1970 and received a doctorate from Gregorian University in Rome. A native of Havana, Cuba, he came to the United States as a teenager and is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Italian. He has been a pastor, campus minister, and spiritual director and rector of St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, Boynton Beach, Fla.

Johnny Romero, a lay apologist, was born in the rough neighborhoods of San Fernando, Calif., and fell away from the Catholic faith through anti-Catholic proselytizing. Brought back through the efforts of his brother, Jesse, he came back with zeal to spread the truth of the Catholic faith. He is a former Marine and super middleweight kickboxing champion.

Emcee for the Hispanic track will be Cucho Garcia, a member of St. Benedict Church, Duluth, who is active both in Regnum Christi and the Cursillo movement. A special Hispanic choir, El Coro del Congreso Eucarístico de 2004, made up of 16 people representing 10 parishes, will provide the music.
