The popular Young Adult Ministry (YAM) speaker series Theology on Tap will be held Wednesdays in July and September at Frankie’s in the Prado on Roswell Road and at Fox Sports Grill in Atlantic Station.

Young adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to attend.

The series kicked off July 5 with Brother John Ignatius Little of Denver speaking about “Looking for the Real Jesus.”

On July 12 at Fox Sports Grill, Jennifer Kilfin will speak on “Revealing the Real Image.” Kilfin’s conversion story covers the journey from partying and playing for one of the country’s top women’s rugby teams, to traveling the country speaking on Pope John Paul II’s “Theology of the Body.”

On July 19 at Frankie’s on the Prado, Father Ricardo Bailey, parochial vicar at Holy Spirit Church in Atlanta, will give a talk entitled “Daily Discipleship.” Father Bailey, 32, is affectionately known as “Father Crunk” for his weekly pop culture Gospel commentary on Atlanta’s popular Q100 FM radio station.

Back at Fox Sports Grill on July 26, Kersti O’Farrell, wife, mother, and former director of YAM, will speak on “The Hinge of Happiness.”

In September, Theology on Tap will again rotate between Frankie’s and Fox Sports Grill.

On Sept. 6, at Frankie’s, Father Michael Gielen, a priest from New Zealand, will give a talk entitled “Shut Up and Listen.” Ordained for eight years, Father Gielen is also an avid rugby player. He will share with young adults how to live a life of prayer and the impact that following Christ has on a person’s life.

On Sept. 13, Father Linus DeSantis, OFM Conv., will speak at Fox Sports Grill in a talk called “The V Word: Vocation, Vocation, Vocation. You’ve got one.” Father Linus is the director of campus ministry for Berry College in Rome and Kennesaw State University and is also the spiritual director for the popular young adult retreat program, To Encounter Christ (TEC).

Jennifer McCartin will speak on Sept. 20 at Frankie’s about being “Mystified by Mary.” McCartin, a successful young entrepreneur from Chicago, experienced a major conversion while on a business trip to Croatia. She decided to leave her career behind and move to Croatia for three years to encounter Jesus and Mary. She now holds a master’s degree in theology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology.

Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will offer the final session of Theology on Tap at Fox Sports Grill on Sept. 27. He will give “An Apostle’s Tale” and will share his own journey as a priest. His talk will be followed by a question and answer session.

Each Theology on Tap session begins with gathering at 7 p.m. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. There is no registration required, but a $4 cover charge will be taken at the door.

Each young adult who brings a new participant will be eligible to win a free pilgrimage to Italy in September 2007. The drawing will be held during the last session on Sept. 27.

Frankie’s on the Prado is located in The Prado shopping center at 5500 Roswell Road in Atlanta, while Fox Sports Grill is located inside Atlantic Station at 261 19th Street.
