Local Catholic high school seniors named National Merit semifinalists

ATLANTA—The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These high school seniors have an opportunity to earn financial scholarships as National Merit Scholars.

The semifinalists attending Catholic schools in the archdiocese are: St. Pius X High School, Atlanta: Ethan P. Hennessey, Lauren M. Hutson, Ian S. Jezak, Micah Kane, Nicholas A. Poulos and Zachary L. Washburn; Marist School, Atlanta: Allison E. Hart, Jack L. Pantlin, Paul Plaia, Conor M. Walsh and Benjamin E. Wise; Holy Spirit Preparatory School, Atlanta: David G. Sullivan; Our Lady of Mercy High School, Fayetteville: Candace M. Todd; and Blessed Trinity High School, Roswell: Anna C. Hart, Brendan Hudgins, Caroline C. Riedl and Christopher M. Turko.
