CARROLLTON—Scores of young people from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church received their first Communion in a special celebration in May.

The Carrollton parish, with the leadership of Father Rafael Carballo, came together at one Mass to worship and applaud the spiritual growth of parish youngsters as nearly 80 girls and boys received the Eucharist for the first time.

The event was made more special by the appearance of Father Richard Morrow, the founding pastor of the Carrollton parish. He helped with the celebration and greeted the youngsters. It took place on Sunday, May 1, at the University of West Georgia Coliseum.
