Pinecrest Academy inducts new members to honor society

Pinecrest Academy held an induction ceremony for the newest members of the John Paul II Chapter of the National Honor Society of Pinecrest Academy. The ceremonies were held at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel on the Cumming campus Friday, Oct. 4.

Prior to the ceremony, the new members and their families attended First Friday Mass. Forty-five new members were inducted this year, including Luke del Balzo, William Brabrook, Simon Cassar, Mary Virginia Chadwick, William Childress III, Lauren Downes, Keely Denkman, Daniel Dreyovich, Grayson DuBose, Isabella DuBose, Gabi Elias, Hannah Farkas, Isaiah Fleck, Ave Fouriezos, Jack Frain, Kathleen Gallamore, Adam Guard, Jacob Hanley, Margaret Herd, Mary Holdsworth, Katherine Jolly, Hannah Kelley, Claire Kim, Abigail Labiche, Adisson Maalouf, Natalie Mata, Nicole Madda, Yasmin Martins, Annemarie McCormick, Carlie McLaughlin, Gregory Metz, Jonathan Moreno, Alexandra Nguyen, Wendy Oshinski, Daniela Quintana, Nicklaus Palmer, Stephanie Petros, Caitlin Randazza, Andy Rodriguez, Monica Saker, Jessica Satriano, Kristina Smoak, Elizabeth Strom, Katherine Tropea and Thomas Wood III.

Acceptance into the NHS is restricted to Pinecrest juniors and seniors with a high school GPA of 3.67 or higher, who have demonstrated qualities of scholarship, service, leadership  and character.
