Celebration at the cathedral for Msgr. McNamee

Published May 9, 2013

On Wednesday, April 17, Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving and investiture for Msgr. Frank McNamee, rector of the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, who was elevated to the rank of monsignor this spring.

Several hundred people attended the event, including members of the Knights of Columbus, fellow priests and deacons, and parishioners. Msgr. McNamee’s sister, Mary, and Aunt Dollie, flew from Ireland to join the celebration.

A lively reception followed in Kenny Hall, where Irish dancers entertained the crowd.
