Blessed Trinity Kicker Raises Money To Beat Cancer

Published February 14, 2013

The football season is in the history books. But this good work should not fall through the cracks.

Blessed Trinity High School’s varsity kicker Marc Nolan out-raised his fundraising goal for Cure Childhood Cancer with his leg. Nolan earned the money by collecting donations for every point after touchdown kick or field goal for the Roswell team.

Nolan raised $1,120 during the season, besting his goal of $1,000 for the nonprofit.

He was participating in a “Kicking Cancer Program” run by The Kickers Zone. Nolan was inspired by his friend, Sean Dever, who was 11 when he was first treated for bone cancer. The young man recently turned 17 and has been cancer free for four years.
