Catholic Underground To Be Held At CTK

Published February 18, 2010

Catholic Underground, an event sponsored by Go FISH Outreach, will be held at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Saturday, March 6, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The event will feature adoration, live music and the chance to meet new friends. People of all ages and faiths are invited to participate in this evening of prayer, fellowship and good music.

Catholic Underground will begin at 7:30 p.m. with an hour of adoration and music by Father Tim Hepburn, chaplain at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Following will be a coffeehouse, with coffee, sodas and desserts available. The coffeehouse will feature the music of the Batiste Brothers.

Go FISH Outreach is a new evangelization and outreach co-op started by a group of Catholics from around the Archdiocese of Atlanta, representing over 15 parishes, to focus on evangelization and outreach. Its mission and goal is to equip Catholics in the church to reach out and to invite those outside the church to reach in.

Catholic Underground events have been previously held in cities throughout the country, and now the event comes to Atlanta, co-sponsored by the archdiocesan Office of Formation and Discipleship, Catholic Thrive and Serving God’s Kids.

There is a $5 suggested donation, with a maximum $20 for a family. The Cathedral of Christ the King is located at 2699 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta.
