Couples Married 50, 60 Years To Be Honored

Published July 16, 2009

Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory would like to honor couples on their 50th or 60th year of marriage with an invitation to a Golden/Diamond Wedding Anniversary Mass on Saturday, Oct. 3, at noon at St. Brigid Church in Johns Creek.

A catered reception will follow for the celebratory couples and their families.

Sponsored by the archdiocesan Family Life Office, the annual anniversary Mass brings together families and friends to witness something that seems increasingly rare these days: a marriage spanning five or six decades, successfully weathering the difficult test of time. At last year’s anniversary Mass, more than 120 jubilee couples renewed their wedding vows.

Tickets are required for this special occasion. Contact Linda Sweeney at (404) 885-7209 or by e-mail at lsweeney@archatl.com by Aug. 5 to place your name among the couples to receive an invitation to the Mass and reception.
