CMLA Crowns Champs

The Catholic Metro League of Atlanta held its “Championship Saturday,” a single elimination tournament for grades five through eight at Our Lady of the Assumption School, Atlanta, Feb. 14. The league is comprised of boys and girls teams from 14 parishes and/or regional schools, grades three through eight. The 2008-2009 season included 274 teams with over 2,400 players.

Girls

Grade 5 – Immaculate Heart of Mary, Atlanta, led by Coach Tom Hughes

Grade 6 – St. Thomas More, Decatur, led by Coach Cathy Faust Grade 7 – Our Lady of the Assumption, led by Coach Mark Moeller

Grade 8 – St. Thomas More, Decatur, led by Coach Mark Norton

Boys

Grade 5 – St. Brigid, Johns Creek, led by Coach Brian Richey

Grade 6 – Holy Spirit Preparatory, Atlanta, led by Coach Alan McCurry

Grade 7 – St. Thomas More, Decatur, led by Coach Mark Phillips

Grade 8 – St. Peter Claver, Decatur, led by Coach Dionne Mason
