Archbishop To Speak On Death Penalty At Emory

Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will give the Decalogue Lecture on “The Catholic Church and the Death Penalty,” as part of a lecture series entitled “When Law and Religion Meet,” presented by The Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University. He will address the Catholic Church’s hard stance on capital punishment and other dignity of life issues in his lecture and will take questions about any topic from the audience. The Aquinas Center of Theology is the co-sponsor.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be presented on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m., at Tull Auditorium on the Emory campus. The auditorium is located at 1301 Clifton Road, Atlanta.
