Published August 7, 2008

Women from parishes all over the Archdiocese of Atlanta will gather for three days to attend workshops, listen to speakers, pray together and attend Mass.

A province meeting that is open to all will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, to kick off the AACCW convention, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Other activities for Friday evening include an orientation session for newcomers as well as a president’s reception.

Saturday begins with Mass at 7:30 a.m. and will be followed by a business meeting and a series of workshops beginning at 11:15 a.m. A luncheon with a speaker will lead the afternoon activities, which include additional workshops and deanery meetings. A dinner banquet at 8 p.m. is also planned for Saturday evening.

Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will celebrate the concluding Mass on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. A brunch will follow.

The cost for the convention is $125. Women interested in not attending the entire event may pay $30 to attend the lunch, $40 to attend the banquet or $25 to attend the brunch, in addition to the $30 registration fee.
