Theology On Tap Meets At Fox Sports Grill

Published July 5, 2007

The Young Adult Ministry (YAM) speaker series Theology on Tap will be held Wednesdays in July at Fox Sports Grill in Atlantic Station.

Young adults, ages 18-40, single and married, are invited to attend.

Each Theology on Tap session begins with gathering at 7 p.m. The program, including the speaker, followed by a question-and-answer session, begins at 7:30 p.m. There is no registration required, but a $4 cover charge will be taken at the door.

On July 11, Anthony Buono will kick off the series with “Surfing for Love.” Buono, the founder of the Catholic dating Web site, Ave Maria Singles, will share stories about Catholic singles who met their spouses while “surfing for love” and will address those who find it difficult to meet solid Catholic young adults who are dedicated and attracted to sharing their Catholic faith.

On July 18, Jennifer McCartin will speak to young adults on the topic, “Mystified by Mary.” McCartin will share the story of her own encounter with Mary, who led her to a transforming relationship with Jesus.

The final July date of ToT will be July 25, as Father Luke Ballman, newly appointed vocations director for the Archdiocese of Atlanta, discusses “So, What Are You Doing for the Rest of Your Life?” Father Ballman will tell the story of his own invitation and acceptance into a life that’s “full of adventure and one he could never have imagined for himself … but God did.”
