Seven Priests To Be Honored At Jubilee Mass

Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory will celebrate the annual Jubilarian Mass for priests on Wednesday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of Christ the King.

Seven priests will be honored at the Mass, including one priest marking 60 years of priesthood, four golden jubilarians celebrating 50 years of priesthood, and two celebrating their silver jubilees or 25 years of priestly ministry.

Father Lawrence R. Schmuhl, SM, now retired, has been a priest for 60 years. The golden jubilarians are: Father Juan de la Cruz, now serving at St. Joseph Church in Hanover, Penn.; Father Eugene Hughes, SM, retired; Father Daniel J. McCormick, parochial vicar, All Saints Church, Dunwoody, and chaplain at the Atlanta VA Hospital; and Father Methodius Telnack, OCSO, a monk of the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, Conyers.

The silver jubilarians are: Father James P. Adams, parochial vicar of St. Gabriel Church, Fayetteville, and Father Daniel Stack, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cartersville.
