Douglasville Parish To Hold Fall Festival

Published September 28, 2006

St. Theresa Church will hold its annual fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The festival, which is held on the Saturday closest to Oct. 1, feast day of the parish’s patron, St. Theresa of Lisieux, will feature live musical performances by a number of groups, children’s games and a recreational midway with an inflatable moon walk, slot car racing and more.

In addition, traditional fair food will be available for purchase, as well as edibles prepared by representatives of various nationalities, including several Hispanic and Asian countries.

Representatives of several of the church’s ministries will staff specific booths, which will offer various items for sale, including used books, CDs and DVDs.

Father Richard Tibbetts, pastor, said that the festival is open to all.

“The festival is not limited just to the members of our parish,” he said. “We want this yearly event to become a community-wide festival, and we would welcome as many area residents as possible to come to St. Theresa.”

For more information, call the parish at (770) 489-7115.

St. Theresa’s is located at 4401 Prestley Mill Road.
