NCYC Offers Special Packages For Attendees

Published October 6, 2005

With the National Catholic Youth Conference rapidly approaching, the archdiocese is offering new packages for teens who have obstacles preventing them from attending the full three-day event.

NCYC will be held Oct. 27-29 at the Georgia Dome and World Congress Center, and a three-day package to attend, including a conference T-shirt and hat, is still available until Oct. 10 for $196. All late fees have been waived for local participants from the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

In addition two new packages are available exclusively to local participants.

The first new package allows participants to attend evening events, beginning at 4 p.m. on Thursday afternoon and 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon, as well as all day Saturday. The cost of this package is $150.

In the second new package, teens can attend just Saturday’s events all day for $75.

No package changes can be made to previously accepted registrations, and all youth must be accompanied by a registered adult chaperone in accordance with archdiocesan youth ministry guidelines. Each group must meet the required youth to chaperone ratio of one chaperone per seven youths.

All permission slips must be in the archdiocesan youth office by Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. Permission slips can be downloaded from the youth ministry Web site at www.atlyouth.org. After Oct. 10, interested participants must contact the youth office at (678) 352-4271.
