Blessed Trinity Collects $10K … Quickly

Published September 15, 2005

At Blessed Trinity High School’s “Miracle Minute” on Friday, Sept. 9, the students, faculty and staff collected over $10,500 dedicated to the Hurricane Katrina relief funds. The funds were divided among three charities: The Red Cross Relief Fund, Catholic Charities and the National Catholic Educational Association.

The Miracle Minute is a chance for students to reach into their own pockets and give to a worthy cause. “There are no incentives, no rewards,” said Principal Frank Moore. “It is our goal with the Miracle Minute to have our students understand that the act of giving to those in need is the best reward of all. And it’s clear by the amount of money that they gave, the goal has been accomplished.”
