Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory has announced the following priest assignments.

FIRST ASSIGNMENTS AS PASTORS

Father Luke Ballman, parochial vicar at Holy Spirit Church, Atlanta, has been assigned as pastor of St. Augustine Church, Covington, effective June 16. This is his first assignment as a pastor.

Father Eric Hill, parochial vicar at Prince of Peace Church, Buford, has been assigned as pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Decatur, effective June 16. This is his first assignment as a pastor.

Father Joseph Liem Nguyen, parochial vicar at St. Michael Church, Gainesville, has been assigned as pastor of St. Mary Church, Toccoa, and its mission, St. Catherine Laboure in Commerce, effective June 16. This is his first assignment as a pastor.

Father Fabio Sotelo-Peña, administrator of Our Lady of the Americas Mission, Doraville, has been assigned as pastor of St. Michael Church, Gainesville, effective June 16.

Father Roberto Orellana, parochial vicar at St. Pius X Church, Conyers, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Patrick Church, Norcross, effective June 16.

Father Abel Guerrero-Orta, parochial vicar at St. Patrick Church, Norcross, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at St. Benedict Church, Duluth, and for the Hispanic Mission in Buford, effective June 16.

Father Guillermo Cordoba, parochial vicar at St. Benedict Church, Duluth, has been assigned as a parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, effective June 16.

Father Pedro Poloche, parochial vicar at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, has been assigned to serve part-time as a parochial vicar at St. John the Evangelist Church, Hapeville, and also work part-time at the Metropolitan Tribunal, effective June 16.

TEACHING ASSIGNMENT

Father Augustine Tran, who has been working at the Metropolitan Tribunal while serving, for canonical purposes, as a parochial vicar at St. Benedict Church, Duluth, has been assigned as a full-time teacher at Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell, effective June 16. He will remain in residence at St. Benedict.

FIRST ASSIGNMENT

Father Neil Herlihy, ordained to the priesthood May 28, has been given his first assignment as a parochial vicar at St Thomas More Church in Decatur, effective June 16.

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT

Father Craig David has been given a temporary assignment to serve at Christ Our Hope Church, Lithonia, until his assignment as chaplain of the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Decatur becomes effective in the fall.
