Credit Union Promotion To Aid Local Parishes

Published April 16, 2009

The Georgia Federal Credit Union (GFCU), the credit union for the Archdiocese of Atlanta, has announced a new promotion that will aid local Catholic parishes. From now to June 21 (redemption ends July 31), when Catholics open an account with GFCU or when existing Catholic members add a new product such as a mortgage or a checking account, GFCU will donate $15 to the member’s parish.

GFCU began serving the Catholic community in the archdiocese in 2005 when it merged with the Greater Atlanta Catholic Federal Credit Union. Since that time, the credit union has strongly supported local parishes, schools and events.

Catholics in the 69 counties of the archdiocese are eligible to join GFCU, which offers free checking accounts, Visa cards, home equity lines of credit, mortgages, online banking and bill pay.
