Three Atlanta Seminarians Installed As Readers

Fourteen seminarians from St. Vincent Seminary, including three from the Archdiocese of Atlanta, were installed to the Ministry of Reader on March 20 by Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory in the St. Vincent Archabbey Basilica. The seminarians are from two religious orders and eight dioceses and archdioceses.
The three Atlanta seminarians are Ricardo Botello, Salomon Garcia Cortes and Dominic T. Tran. All are college graduates who are now studying in their first year of theology at the seminary.
Ricardo Botello is the son of Francisco and Elitania Ayala Botello of Atlanta. He is a 1996 graduate of Secondaria Tecnico, no.100 in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, and he earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from the University of Texas, El Paso, in 2005.
Salomon Garcia Cortes is the son of Alfredo Garcia Garrio Bribiesca and Maria Delfina Francisca Cortes of Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. He is a 1998 graduate of Santa Maria de Guadalupe in Morelia, Michoacan. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from St. Joseph Seminary College in St. Benedict, La., in 2005.
Dominic T. Tran is the son of Cahn Tran and Ri Ha Tran. He is a 1991 graduate of Vinh An High School, Vietnam. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from Divine Word College Seminary, Epworth, Iowa, in 2000.
