Founder To Lead JustFAITH Introductory Workshop
Published August 5, 2010
“An Introduction to JustFAITH” will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, at St. Philip Benizi Church. All are welcome to attend the event, which will be held in the parish hall from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The founder of JustFAITH, Jack Jezreel, will lead the event, providing an introduction to the 30-week adult formation program, which is active in a number of parishes around the archdiocese.
JustFAITH is a national adult formation program focused on education and action on behalf of justice as mandated by Scripture and Catholic social teaching. The 30-week program is designed to include rich resources, shared experiences and personal interaction between members of the formation group. Graduates are well informed about the justice call of the Catholic faith and on fire to serve others.
The introductory seminary will include a discussion of what Scripture, social teaching and faith tradition reveal about the call to Catholics to care for their brothers and sisters in need. This program encourages attendees to a renewed commitment to love and serve the world through active and engaged social ministry.
Pre-registration for the seminar, which closes on Aug. 21, can be done online by following the JustFAITH link on the Catholic Charities Atlanta website, www.catholiccharitiesatlanta.org.
Walk-in registration begins on the morning of Aug. 28 at 8:15 a.m. The program will conclude at 2:30 p.m.
Lunch will be provided. The suggested donation is $20 per person.
