NIGHT OF HOPE:
Published November 5, 2024
Sun, Dec. 1; 7 p.m.; St. Thomas More Church, 636 W Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur. Advent is a season of hope. We await Jesus’ promise of his second coming at the end of time and look forward to celebrating Christmas. We also look for Jesus’ presence in the now. As Catholic Christians we have a living hope. Poet Emily Dickinson wrote, “Hope is that thing with feathers.” Feathers enable a bird to fly, and hope does the same for us. In a turbulent world, hope anchors the soul. Come and hear Father Cedric Pisegna, CP, break open the meaning of the Advent season. This night of hope will make the soul soar. Contact: aotto@stmga.org.
