Published December 22, 2011
Following Mass at 7 p.m. will be a formal dinner with Bishop Hartmayer as guest speaker. Banquet tickets are $50 per person.
Under the guidance of director Noreen Coughlin, AAPC is an outreach ministry to provide emotional support, guidance and practical assistance for women facing a challenging future with their unborn child. No discrimination is made in providing a broad range of services; all faiths are welcome.
While not affiliated with the Catholic Church or the Archdiocese of Atlanta, AAPC operates from a Catholic perspective in the respect for the dignity of life by its staff, volunteers and board of directors, who come from many local church communities.
Established over 26 years ago, AAPC’s outreach extends throughout the southern part of metro Atlanta, Hapeville, College Park and East Point. A number of local parishes, youth groups and charitable institutions have paired with AAPC to support their pro-life efforts.
New to AAPC this year is a doctor-supervised medical clinic with ultrasound machine to facilitate the needs of expectant mothers.
In the last year AAPC provided 700 client appointments and walk-in visits, 290 pregnancy tests and parenting classes for 349 attendees, as well as over 6,500 baby and maternity items to mothers in need.
In 2012 free car seat classes, presentations by adoption consultants and new infant CPR classes and job search sessions will be offered quarterly.
