Kennesaw Students Learn To ‘Make A Difference’

Published noviembre 15, 2007  | Available In English

Students at St. Catherine of Siena School and St. Catherine’s preschool recently demonstrated that they may be small in size but they are big in heart. On Friday, Oct. 26, students from all the grades made a difference in their local community by spending the day in the service of others.

Early bird students began the day by hosting a breakfast for the Kennesaw police and fire departments, serving up flapjacks and a full cup of good will. Their next good will projects included making scrapbooks for the men and women of the armed forces, decorating cookies for the workers at Habitat for Humanity, providing blankets for Project Linus, cleaning up Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, singing to Wellington Nursing Home residents, decorating cookies for a give-away, making rosaries for the parish, and cleaning up the school, preschool, parish and rectory at St. Catherine’s.

St. Catherine of Siena is located at 1618 Ben King Road in Kennesaw. For more information about the school, preschool or parish, go to the Web site at www.saintcatherineofsiena.org.
