Lenten events updated

ATLANTA—During this season of Lent, amid the coronavirus pandemic, parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta have found ways to mark the liturgical season.

This list of online and in-person events includes confession, fish frys, Stations of the Cross and other spiritual events in north and central Georgia.

“Lent is a time for believing, for welcoming God into our lives and allowing him to ‘make his dwelling’ among us,” said Pope Francis in this year’s Lenten message. “The call to experience Lent as a journey of conversion, prayer and sharing our goods, helps us—as communities and as individuals—to revive the faith that comes from the living Christ, the hope inspired by the breath of the Holy Spirit and the love flowing from the merciful heart of the Father.”
